I ended up putting mine under the scuttle next to the pollen filter, was a bit worried about water affecting it but its been fine for about 6 months now, even in the major downpours we've had recently.

a mate of mine put his behind the glovebox, extended all the wiring, made a proper bracket the lot. right pain in the arse

It does go like Lee says, it's just super super tight!

In the end I bet the connector/pins would fall off or become damaged.

wouldnt think it would damage it if it was all done carefully enough and not rushed but is it really worth the hassle mate

question...

would it damage an ECU to remove it each night the car is locked up??

just thinkin about it when I end up doing an XE/LET conversion on my next corsa, and if it won't damage it I'm gona try mod the kickpanel so it locks in & can be removed easily so pikey scum can't nick the car if they try
