it will be for a sub, it will play everything below that frequency. treble and mid range are above 1khz really. its definately gonna be for your sub output

hz = hertz

A high pass filter, filters frequencies below the level from the sound.

A 75Hz hpf will play everything above 75Hz.

The HPF hz settings are to determine what frequencies above the hz rating the speakers will play.

I THINK hz setting is how high pitch u want your treble to be. The higher u go the tinner it will sound.

Can someone please explain to me what the HPF and FIE settings on my head unit are for. ie 50hz, 75hz, 125hz?? and also when i install my new Infinity 6x9 and components is there any settings you should use to run them in when there new.thanx
