get a compression test done.
my head gasket is blown between cylinder 4 and atmosphere. doesn't lose oil or water, doesn't mix the two at all. does run ragged and sound rough.

When i had the head done on mine, it came back on full, dunno if it helps, if you do this and go for a run, then top your level up all shud be good... unless it is the head gasket:thumbs:

start the engine and squeeze all the collant pipes to remove any air from the system
take the headertank lid off when you do this too

im hoping it is an airlock.....come to think of it i had to remove the radiator top pipe recently when i changed my engine mounts, and didnt drain and refill the system properly. just topped it up. could this cause an airlock that would make thi noise?

i know that a rushing water sound from the dashboard is a sign of a headgasket on the way out (ive already had 2 go on different engines!) and this happened both times. but this time ive got no other symptoms like white exhaust smoke or oil & water mixing. could it just be an airlock? or is that just wishfull thinking!!!
