Checked the problem out, and now i feel stupid :o The noise was a clip missing from the inner arch causing it to rub on the left wheel, thus causing a funny noise. Cost me 73p!

quote: Replace them. :o Visually, all you can see is if the boot is split. You can pull on the wheel when its jacked up to see if there's play. 20 minute job to replace each side.

if its ya CV joints turn the wheel to full lock and drive in a circle both ways, if you hear a clunking the CV's have gone

i would prob say it was ball joints if it knocks when your driving normally, driveshaft normally knocks on full lock at slower speeds

I thought it was a wheel bearing but the garage checked and said all bearings were fine, only thing he could thik of was a little play in driveshaft, but theres always a bit anyway. Could it be the driveshaft bearing? You can feel the vibrating through the car, it gets louder an more violent the quicker you go. Getting to the point now where I am afraid to drive it. Feels worse when turning right also. |
