if its a sony headunit mate u can get a sony aux changer that will do the trick plugs into ur cd changer ports and gives you ,multiple aux in's if u have a cd changer already for the mean time leave the controller lead pluged in and use the rca's to connect to the dvd player, thats what im doing for the moment till i get the aux changer.

I got a shitty Sony CDx-M800....now the book says when a CD/MD changer have been plugged in the AUX is then disabled/used.

I gather thats when i use the blue remote cable it stops AUX in working?

Ever since ive plugged in the AMP and SUB the AUX option on my HU has gone.

Now i do have 3 sections on the back of the HU. I have 2 sets of pre amps out to front and rear, and then i have AUX IN or BUS. I plugged the dvd player in to the AUX in, but still no option arose.

ANy other clues how i could get it working through the head unit. Ive literally just bought all the install...so changing the HU is like the last thing id do....but if all else fails ill have to.

thanks guys....someone outa beable to help :P

what headunit u got mate?

some headunits have AUX IN but will only run through the changer socket!

u can buy an adaptor that converts ya changer socket to 2 rca adaptors(red and white plugs)

and then thats how ya use ur AUX IN

but all depends on which headunit ya got

Hey guys, i guess this should be in the Ice section but know one ever really replys there as much as they do here.

Anyways i got a portable DVD player and im wanting to hook it up to my HU, problem is that the head unit is connected to amp/sub, which means it wont let me use the AUX IN.

Is there another way i can connected the dvd player, so it runs through my ice install?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
