I had the same noise - sort of harse vibrations sounds on my 1.4, its the pin bolt for the alternator, you need to tighten it right up, with the belt tensioned .

It on the bottom side of the alternator, where it levers for adjustment.

Hello everyone.
I have an 8v SRi corsa B. There is a strange sound (rattling, like some screw is loose) coming from the engine and it can only be heard between 2000-3000 rpms. I had a look but I can’t pinpoint where the sound is coming from in the engine exactly. I’m under the impression that the sound is a little bit stronger when the engine is cold but I’m not 100% sure.
I have done 50.000 miles so far but the noise is there since 30.000
Any ideas what it may be?
Thanx
