If u r on a tight budget surely it'd be worth ur while saving up for half decent stuff (no offence) rather than instant buying with wot money u got..! U can get decent stuff cheap ya know, just shop about..even if ya get an old model (last years, etc) will still be good quality  I know nout about ICe tech stuff but I know its worth saving ya pennies and getting decent stuff that'll last and sound good  (dont 4get to deaden ya boot and doors...nout worse than a vibrating car) :P

No, it all looks like cheap shite.

Bin the 6x9's, get a DECENT amp and set of components and there ya go, decent sounding system.

NO amp costing £60 -£100 is going to be of any quality at all, and those figures are DEFFO peak, the amp is probably 4 x 25-50w RMS at most.

do you think this would be more suitable?

oh right i see u have.
I doubt weather those r the rms ratings for the amp.
personally i wouldnt even consider using 6x9s with subs, i am sure alot of ppl will say the same.
these 6x9s are only 80 watt rms, u can see y i was a little apprihensive about u sayin ur gonna run 1000 watts into them.
I suggest u look for a two channel amp which delivers 100 watts rms into each channel.

That Toxic amp looks erm Toxic.
Tell me the RMS figures for the 6x9's or a link to a company selling them with a picture and I'll try n find an amp worth considering with.
800 watts for 100 pounds looks abit dangerous.

the 6x9's are just average power really

i think u better state the rms figures.
If it's 800 watt for channel im guessing thats 200 per channel?
and I dont mean to sound like a tit but I've never heard of Toxic or Accelarator...
what is the suggested amount to use of the 6x9's?

ultra_corsa

posted on 5th Jul 04 at 18:23

ultra_corsa

posted on 5th Jul 04 at 18:15

well i might be makin a total mistake so if i'm totally ballzin it up let me know! bascially i'm runnin 2x 12" accelerator subs with a 1500 Toxic amp & have accelarator 6x9's also ,i wana have both amps as Toxic make & asked me bro wot to go for & he said 800watt 4 channel then said for £10 more go for the 1000watt?!?!?! is he bein an idiot? if so wot u think?

this sounds all abit....funny.
what r u using splx or something?
I've never known anyone to pump 1000 watts or 800 for that matter into a pair of 6x9's.
it would be great if u cud tell us the models and brands u own.
