yeah my speedo works fine. So if i buy a set of electronic dials with a rev counter on will the just be a direct replacment?

silly question but does your speedo work?

if its working then yer speedo is an electronic one so you will need a set of electronic dials.

cheers for that but when i took out the dials there were no wires at all connected to it it just came straight off does this mean that they are electronic.

was there a cable conected to the back of the dials? ud have to get yer hand behind the dials to take it off. this cable is for your speedo

if this is there yer looking for a set of cable driven dials

all rev counters on corsa's have electronic rev counters.

the other black plug u mentioned should have a green wire going to it and if you look in your engine compartment the other end of this wire will be at the coil like in the picture below

if this wire is there then you just simply take out the old dials without rev counter and stick in the other one with rev counter. i've done this on my 94 merit 1.2.

hope this helps.

I want to chnage my dials so that they have a rev counter as my current ones dont. I have pulled out the dials today so that i can check wether they are electronic or cable driven. All that i could see was a black block which had these metal bits on it. I also couldnt see the pea green coloured wire. Could anybody tell me whether or not it is electronic or cable driven and where the green wire is.

Cheers

P.S my cars is a 1.2 8v corsa trip it is a P reg 96
