i had a similar thing on my car but it was more of a mettalic rasp but could be same sort of thing as the noise u describe. i only happened sometimes and when i went round right hand bends only, turned out to be the exhaust moving and banging on something, just moved it slighlty and tightened it all up and seems fine now touch wood! LOL

it doesnt seem to be all speeds, im gonna test it to see wot speed it occurs and whether it only happens at full lock. if it is the CV joints how much would it be to fix the problem?? cheers 4the help

CV joints would be my guess too, do you hear it at all speeds?

yea most likely the cv joint,a common problem on corsa's!

Driveshafts, if it makes the noise on full lock its the CV joints.

Not necessarily. Just your description saying it was sounding like a 'pneumatic drill' sounds exactly like the way of suspension was. I had the same problem like I said...when turning..

Could be that the tracking has gone off.

but if it was the suspension wouldnt i feel the friction through the steering wheel?

Could be lots of things but sounds like a suspension problem, maybe one of the front dampers is rubbing against the tyres. I had the same problem with the rear..hydraulic fluid leaking everywhere. Just take it to a garage and they'll find the problem.

iv got a P reg 1.4 sport and when i turn tight right corners over a certain degree of lock there is a weird sound, it seems like its coming from the front wing of the car. the only way i can describe the noise is that it sounds like a pneumatic drill, very similar in fact. the type of drill thats used to crack concrete. any ideas?? cheers
