Cos of the tolerences that Vauxhall join the body to the floorpan. Some Corsas can have 17's knocked on realy easy, where as others, like mine, have problems when you stick on a set of 16's at ET45... Your either lucky or your not

Oh and btw, They'll look stupid and you'll loose all torque and acceleration in lower gears.

Many people have got 17" wheels with just de-bolting the rear arches though... 18's are just pushing the biggest size you can get on under Corsa arches, without serious plastic surgery...

I'll let you know in a few days... I got ET42 ones, they're going to have 205/30 tyres on them, the are also 7" wide... YOu need your wheels to be ET45 to be the ideal offset, and they HAVE to be 7" wide or they just wont go under standard arches. You will need to de-bolt the arches, and possibly grind a bit of material back off the rear arches. On the front, you may need a 3mm spacer to clear your suspension, and you might need to remove the inner arch lining to prevent rubbing when you put on full lock...
