If you have an alarm interfaced into the CL its the remote keyfob for the alarm that does the locking/unlocking aswell as arming the alarm etc.

Not if its just an interface, all those functions are on the alarm not the CL interface :)

if you are planning on getting an alarm soon, wait and it will just link in nicely...

Its a piece of piss. All you need is an RCL interface from a company like Microscan which links into you're existing central locking unit and hey presto.

I fitted an alarm and central locking kit from microscan and the alarm controls the lockling, plus gives options like auto arm/lock and anti hijack. I fitted everything including door motors (4 of them cos its 5 door) and the alarm in two days on/off. Not taxing at all.

Right. ive done some phoning round and gotten prices for the fitting of remote central locking.

Ive been quoted from £80 up to £100.

Does that price seem fair, or am i having my eyes ripped out?

I havent got the knowledge/patience/time to do it myself so i am going to have to eventually pay someone.

If that does seem a bit much, and anyone knows of anyone who could fit r/c/l in a 99 corsa, that already has c/l in the Sunderland/ Newcastle area then it would be much appreciated.
