Mate, take it all back until youve used one!!!
Ive ran a split charged one for over 2 years now. They are no-way a waste of money or a rebadged vaux battery!!!

Test: Go and switch your lights, heater, stereo on in your car with its super-dooper Vauxhall battery (without the engine running).... Now wait until your battery hits about 6V....

Go charge it up either with home charger/jump start car and charge it up (if you can), now weep as your £30 super Vauxhall battery is dead...

Now try this with an Optima Yellow top, charge it up - it wont put a scratch on it!! Still hold virtually as much charge as before! Do you have evidence that Optima's suck??

Optima batteries are designed to be discharged and re-charged over and over again without it reducing the life of the battery

Normal car batteries are almost knackered after a couple of discharges

Yellow tops are very well respected ICE batteries and are very good at what they are designed to do

Of course if you dont play your music without your engine on and have a decent alternator then the effects of using a standard battery wont be too bad because you wont be discharging the battery

You obviously dont understand the differences between normal car batteries and deep cycle batteries

Also the amount of current they can supply?

Inside this unusual battery is a six-pack of SPIRALCELL TECHNOLOGY®. Traditional batteries have a stack of thick lead plates surrounded by acid. But OPTIMA® batteries feature two thin lead plates wound into a tight spiral cell, with an absorbent glass-mat in between to hold the electrolyte solution. This unique design allows for more power and increased energy, resulting in quick, reliable starts. OPTIMA batteries are the first and only batteries to feature SPIRALCELL TECHNOLOGY.
