You cant show pictures from your HDD, you have to upload them to your garage and then put the URL inbetween the img tags.

the flash tape from b+q is nearly half as thick as dynamat, therefore a double coatin would seem similar?
ive bought the 150 squid pack from caraudio.direct 33squre foot PLENTY so you'd think. naa need alot more for a corsa.

looks exactly as the same stuff i have in my doors, and yes it does work, the doors sound solid if you tap them, not tinny.
i got it from my bros work (ford bodyshop) they stick it on the inside of new panels too stop vibrations.

i went too look at b&q flashing tape and its defo not the same m8.

the flashing tape was only 16cm wide and 8 m long, and was blue with white gunge on it, nothing like the silver and black od dynamat/brown bread.

Like i said before, you can probably get similar effects as dynamat and brown bread using several layers of flashing tape. Maybe 4 or 5 layers?

Sounds like there will be plenty so you might aswell use it :)

Doesnt matter what car its going in, what does matter is how serious about good quality music you are ;)

I don't want to use extreme as i feel spending £150 doesn't warrent itself when spent on a corsa.

I would definately have gotten xtreme but i'd only consider it on a bigger better car imo. But something needs to be done on the corsa (sound deading wise) as its just poor as fuck without any.

I'm gonna wait till this stuff comes thru the post then will pay a visit to B&Q to compare it to their flashing tape. See if I have been had or not.

Original dynamt and brown bread only work by adding mass to the panel and therefore requiring more enery (higher sound levels) for that panel to vibrate

Dynamat Extreme (which is the one priced at £150 for a bulk pack) works in a similar way to suspension on a car by absorbing the sound waves and turning it into heat

You could get similar results to dynamt and brown bread using that flashing tape, but you would need to use lots of layers

It wouldn't be quite as good as Dynamat Extreme as all you are simply doing is adding mass to the door

Whether the differences would be noticable is a different matter but everyone i've spoke to thats used Extreme and either Dynamt or Brown Bread have said that Extreme is far superior

Hi there

It's originated from the US , an automotive spares oem company supplies it to a distributor here (who is a friend of mine) for various industrial sound deadening applications but basically was designed for cars. They sell it £15 for a 250mmx500mm sheet if you believe it! It's not formaly branded -hence the low price - and is exactly applied as dynamat and bb. A seam roller as suggested by these companies is also recomended .

Regards
-s

for £40 can you go wrong? self adhesive.

23cm x 10meters

thats alot more area of material you get with the dynamat bulk @£150,
so you could double up 2 layers of this £40 stuff to achieve similar results to the dynamat material.

Seems quite a good buy. what do you guys think?
