the alarm and deadlocks are set once the red LED on the hazard switch is flashing on and of at a slow constant pace so if it has a immobiliser it should be working then too?
but u mite be right mate, il give it few mins to set n then try again:thumbs:

quickest way to do it is to pop the column shroud apart. if you have a black box around the key barrel then it has an immobilser. if you have a grey clip then it doesn't

the Immobiliser is easily added. you need a transponder style key and the transponder unit. from there make a trip to your local dealer and get it programmed in.

I think alarms and immobilisers are seperate, crack open the key if possible, and if it has a small black chip in it, this is for the immobiliser.

the car has a "NON-factory" vauxhall alarm-which has no immobilser!!!

and deadlocks which turns on the "factory standard" alarm AND (i think) the immobilser!

ok so....... does anybody know if the Corsa B gsi 1994 came with a factory immobiliser???

and how does the factory-Deadlocks alarm work exactly?
just deadlocks the doors/boot and sounds alarm if the doors/boot/bonnet are opened without the deadlocks deactivated??

If you put the key in the ignition the transducer in the key will deactivate the imobiliser (if its got one).

its L reg Gsi, i thought the engine is immobilised when i turn the deadlocks on??

i tested it today...i put all windows down and locked the car with the deadlocks, and then put my key in the ignition and turned it....the alarm sounded but the engine started:boggle: woudnt the immobilser had stopped this??
