i already had another fuse holder so used a 15 amp fuse that goes in that the fuse i got with the invertor is a long one obviously as it goes into cid lighter and is a 15 amp fuse. What does a resistor look like and can i put a different resister in other than one from the ciggy lighter?

invertors usually have fuses built in so why use another? you've either got +ve and -ve mixed up, or the inverter draws more than 15a.

look in the ciggy connector bit and see if ther was a resistor in it...maybe the problem:wave:

if ther is just connect the resistor up to your circuit and it shud run fine:thumbs:

it's blowing the fuse without the invertor even turnt on!!! As soon as i connect wires up the fuse goes. Last invertor i used a 20 amp fuse, but went through the fuse and blue the invertor up lol

are you trying to run too much power off it?

I got an invertor for my ps2 and was made for ciggy lighter, so choped the ciggy lighter bit off, and wired the wires up to positive battery and grounded the negative, put a 15 amp fuse in-line with the positive, and it keeps blowing the fuse!!! Isnt anything wrong with the wirirng really, only thing i can think off is that ive used the wrong wire from the invertor for the poss and neg, and need to swap em round?

Any help appreciated, cheers.
