green wire runs from ecu on 1.2 8v.. cut this and join it to the rev counter with more wire.. i did this on my digi dash

if you have a voltmeter you could try and measure the green wire, to see if you are getting a signal from it. The voltage should increase as the revs go up.

well your saying the needdle is stiff. dont think it should be but i could be corrected on that as ive never checked how stiff it was.

green wire is there 4 me 2 but i aint workin. could it be a prob with motor in the clock itself?

it doesnt go to the gearbox it goes to the coil.

i put clocks with a rev counter into my 1.2 8v merit and they worked first time with no probs. green wire was present before i put them in.

how do u wire it to the gear box? is it hard? and is the rev counter needle supposed 2 be stiff

nope no rev counter before. I did a search on clock's that wud fit a 1.2 8v corsa with out a rev counter an the sri 8v does cos its mechanical and the speedo goes to 130 mph

yes, the pea green wire is the one you need for the rev counter. it may not be connected the gearbox end.

Right just bought some mechanical clocks out of a 1.4 sri 8v pre97:thumbs:
My car is a 1.2 8v swing;) Put the clocks in petrol guage worked and temp guage worked but rev counter didnt work??There is a green wire in the multiplug behind the clock's. I did notice that the rev counter needle was a bit stif( ;) ) when i moved it with my finger?? any 1 got any thin 2 help me?
