£5 for the gasket? Less than a pound from autovaux. I wouldn't pay £70 for a inlet manifold. Will get one much less on here if you put a wanted ad up.

The Torque tube kit comes with the blanking plate for the EGR anyway.

They can supply you with a metal x16xe lower inlet manifold to make it fit if you ask them, think they're about £70, you'll also need an inlet manifold to headgasket aswel - bout £5.

Yes.

Basically the lower inlet manifolds for the C16XE with the plastic upper bit has a funny flange for the rubber seal to join it to the plastic part. The mantzel, velos thing etc wont fit to that.

The later ones with a metal top inlet manifold have a normal flat flange with a flat gasket, so the mantzel/velos easily bolt to that.

Thats why the mantzel for the C16xe costs more for the X16/14XE, because the C16XE one comes with a new lower inlet manifold as well.

So what you need to do is find a lower inlet manifold from a X14/16XE, and get 2 small blanking plates made to block the egr off. Speak to Velos. Im sure they will have one kicking around from a throttle body conversion that they will arrange for you.

Im thinking of getting a torq tube from velos but have just seen this on their website:

The Torq Tube is a reduced-cost version of the Induction System. It works by shortening the length of the inlet runners and de-restricting the engine. However only half the existing system is replaced. The power gains, though less than a full Induction Kit, are still considerable and similar to other systems on the market but at a much more competitive price. This can be supplied as a kit with full instructions or fitted by ourselves.
Note- This kit is suitable only for 1400XE and 1600XE 16-valve vauxhall engines without a plastic upper manifold (pre-200 models)

I have the older GSi with C16xe engine will it fit etc?? Ill ring velos later am just looking for quick....ish answer
