coaxials in rear doors then. you dont need 6x9's, you already have bass with the sub

Yer comps r the most important thing but after having both an install with just front components and subs and then an install with front components, subs and a set of rear speakers i really prefer the 1 with the rears aswell.

Always found somethig to b missin with just fronts, just needed something from the back for a bit of rear fill

Focal comps give the best sound i have ever heard and a lot of people think like wise.
A set of polyglass or polykevlars and your sorted...

i'd leave 6x9's in the shop mate

no need for them at all if you are getting a sub

sub and components do far better job than 6x9's and putting some 6x9's in wont improve anything, and will probably make it worse

thats strange Adi, a guy around here stocks fusion and fits them.. and most me m8z got fusion installs.. and they sound better than any 6x9's/amps/subs I've heard, i.e. alpine, pioneer, kicker, hollywood, kenwood, etc etc IMO! :P
I like infinity or pioneer 6x9's personally, think the sound quality is mint...!! But as u sed, front comps are more important than 6x9's if ya fitting a sub :D

My m8 got some fusion 6x9's and comps and an amp, and they sound absolutely crap!
My cheapo alpine comps were better when i had em on the head unit!

rear quarter builds are not common on here, most people (me included unfortunalty) put 6x9's in the shelf.

IF i was keeping them tho, i'd move them now, but im not. Best bet is to just have good comps upfront and a sub.

DC

because otherwise the bass distorts the sound coming from the 6x9's e.g. the air pressure from the bass

I wud do as suggested by AdiSRI n put ya 6x9's in the shelf. That way u wil get more sound from em in the car aswell!

6x9's wud have to be enclosed seperatly to the sub.
If you want it in the corner like you say you will have to custom make it yourself, otherwise just put the sub in a box in the boot and the 6x9's in the rear 3/4 panels.

as u can see from my avator, i have an empty boot, ive got a rough idea of what im after, keepin it simple such as a 12" sub, amp, and two 6x9's but what i wanted was them enclosed in the corner of the boot, so sub in middle of the box, then 6x9s on either side and an amp on the top. but as im completly new to this i want some info on best prices and quality, ive already got a pioneer head unit btw. has anyone got pics of sutble corners builds if possible please. cheers
