LOL @ those faces.

OK, that is me back on the road.

What happened was my rear wheel bearing on the drivers side of the car had worn away (and although you are meant to hear them - I heard it when it happened on my Fiesta). Didn't hear a thing, and so the bearing melted and the bolt sheared and then the drum part of the brake comes off with my new wheel stuck to it.

Must admit though I am very lucky, cos I fucked a wheel last week and had 13" steel wheels on the back and if this had happened then the wheel wouldn't have got stuck under the arch and brought me to a stop, it would have come right off the car, so really luck for changing to 17" wheels when I did. Although I need a new tyre no cos of the arches rubbing it away.

Had no brakes either, so I had to coast about half a mile before the car came to a stop.

But back to my problem at hand, I am going to get rubber spring adjusters and hopefully that should stop the rubbing cos it is only when I take passengers and to be honest it isn't really that bad, annoying more than anything else.

Thanks for all of your concerns.

P.S.

The wheels were on fine, it was the brakes that came off, and the wheel came off cos of the brakes having an argument with the rest of my car.

Me 17s are rubbing when you hit big holes in the road, how can I stop this ?

It is lowered 40 mm. The wheels are the correct offset and I can get full lock on them, etc.

Just when you hit bumps.

Help me please.
