yeah if ur ecu light is on then just turn ur ignition off but a paper clip in the top left 2 slots in ur diagnostic port and turn ur ignition on,the ecu light will flash out the code them 2 pins only work for reading the fault codes of the 1.0 12v engine

Do you have the ecu light up? If not it will be useless, if so then just do the 'paper clip' test to read the codes. So in all honesty its a waste of money.

well the car is strugglin. its got a new head gasket and all cylinders are workin satisfactory but the idle is still there. i took off the breather hoses and connected em back up and the engine calmed down a bit, it was like it was goin to take off before. but its still rattling quite a bit. if i turn up the idle screw a little bit, the engine is really loud. that enough info? what u think?

it will read your fault codes but wont fix the problem!
Always found it good on vauxhalls but useless on everything else.
A good poor mans fault code reader!
