the scorpion had nothing , my mate has my old system on his car. we both run 2.0l on 17"s and mine wastes his car on acceleration and top end and noise.

I have 2.25 straigh through with racing 4 branch manifold. Has made a huge difference, but that is probably due to the combination of the manfold and system. My car also has TBs

A mate of mine has a 5" universal rage backbox on his civic 1.4 and it sounds porn. Must admit it does look shit though. And a health hazard to small children as thier heads can become lodged inside.

Its only 2.5" from the centre box to the back box, where it joins to the decat pipe its the same as standard...

2.5" is OTT on anything but mega spec engines.

I have the group a system, it has a 2.5" bore, to he honest all it has done is make the car sound really nice lol not much else for performance, oh and it looks the job too

What are the bores of the 2?

You wont be able to get it for a back box only as it wouldn't line up with the bore of the system.

apparently its only suitable if ur cars got heavy engine mods, if it has a turbo or if its a 2.0litre or above...

i got a group A scorpion cat back zorst on my 1.6 16v gsi with a induction kit, and to tell truth i didnt feel any loss/gain in power or acceleration:boggle:

instead it smoothed out the revs nicely, and made it more responsive:)

cool, ill jsut get a normal one then, its for a 1.6 corsa if that makes n e diff (prob don't)

bigger bores are usually fitted to turbo cars as they reduce back pressure so turbo can spin faster. not really useful on N/A cars

whats the advantages and disadvantages of having the bigger bore of the grp A over the normal one?

does it mean more power but less lower down torque - will I have to rev my car alot more to get the same performance? :boggle:

cheers
