3hrs? are u on speed?

i done one on my 1.2 8v and it too a hole day. easy enough but one of the jobs thats a pain in the arse to be honest.( did i contradict myself there?:o )

if i had to do it again the hole engine would be coming out as the battery tray get right in the way.

I imagin it would be a bit of pain, depends what sort of equipment you have and how good a mechanic you are.

Put car on axle stands, remove wheels, Unbolt ball joints, pull driveshafts out of box, disconnect clutch cable and gear linkage, support engine, unbolt gearbox from engine, remove gearbox from end of crank. Refitting is the reverse of removal.

Changing the box oil would be an idea as well.
