Shift into 2nd before going into reverse, not much help I know but might not make the grinding noise as much.

Over last week or so, its been gettin harder n harder to shift gears, n nearly always grinds wen switching to reverse, no matter how long u stand still or de-clutch. Im thinking the clutch cable needs replacing, anyone else care to back me up on that one?
