its a bc107.. round metal with a tag on it.. i've just soldered it as if tag is emitter and base is middle... hope i'm rihgt

if it is one of the black plastic ones, hold it so your looking at the top and it is a 'D' shape. The top pin is the collector, the middle is the base, and the bottom is the emitter.

final question.... a NPN transistor... the tag is the emitter right?

if a 1000 mf 25v capacitor is needed, is a 1000mf 100v one ok? although it is very big in size :P

just i have one spare.

oh, its an obd2 interface for 1999 corsa Bs with the motronic 1.5.5 ecu by the way :)

still need software though....

oh yeah - that only applies to electrolytic capacitors - any other sort can be connected either way round

the thick black line is ground side, the thin one is positive
