its a bc107.. round metal with a tag on it.. i've just soldered it as if tag is emitter and base is middle... hope i'm rihgt | |

if it is one of the black plastic ones, hold it so your looking at the top and it is a 'D' shape. The top pin is the collector, the middle is the base, and the bottom is the emitter. | |

if a 1000 mf 25v capacitor is needed, is a 1000mf 100v one ok? although it is very big in size :P | |

oh yeah - that only applies to electrolytic capacitors - any other sort can be connected either way round | |
