its easy, run one wire to the earthin point in the boot, the other all the way to the front of the car, under the driverside kick panel there is loads of permanent lives, tap into on of these and put a push to make switch in the live wire wherever you want it. its a 10 minute job to wire up inc running the wire. very easy.

no, cos you wire it up differntly. when you smooth the boot you will find you cant lock it, not a problem as you also cant open it unless you use a switch. a solenoid is a central locking motor, thast all it is.

Won't that open the boot every time I open the doors using the central locking?!

use the existing central locking motor in your boot, but move it 90 degrees so it pushes the rod down.
