i have a draper puller was a bastid to get in the wheel but it worked once in
then i had to get it out
i might modyfy it soon with a file

its just fiddly as fcuk gettin them with a hacksaw...

wouldn't bother with a puller unless its a good one! mind I got a draper & that did a shit job, just ripped bits of rubber off & wouldnt grip the wheel at all :(

gettin dash out is easy though, not that hard at all!

4 bolts on bulkhead (you need to remove wiper mechanism)
4mm torx bits i think it is, 2 either side next to doors, then posi-bits for rest.

remove glovebox, ashtray, mfd, centre console & dials. unclip all wiring & then when everything is undone a good sharp pull & the dash will be out!

getting heatermatrix out, if your stripping the dash anyway, may aswell just take the entire blower unit! theres 2 bolts under the pollen filter in the bulkhead, then its just a bit awkward to pull out cos of the pipes going from the matrix into the bay, but should all come out complete!

Adam-D

posted on 27th Mar 04 at 21:30

well if your lucky you can get it off w/out a puller
but if not take a hacksaw and cut the centre spokes as close to the centre
