in 'normal' cars yes, but coz its been modified, insurance companies take a dim view of this, thats why they've put the age up.

I thought when getting insurance you just tell them make model age an engine size and away you go basicly

Well the problem being you will pay more on insurance for an engine conversion than you will for a car with the engine you want in it already.

Plus you will struggle just to find an insurance company that will cover engine conversions, I dont know of any under 19.

Awesome. Do garages charge loads to fit it all? I know a lad who could do it all but dont know if I can trust his work if you know wot I mean!!

My insurance will be a bomb though. Im thinkin a 1.4 16v but not certain yet. Will the ecu be more? wot else will I need?

the 1.4 is good for tuning aswell tho! great engines really for what they are

id say get a 1.6 16v as getting a 1.4 would be a waste of money. The 1.6 will be good for a bit of tuning in the future

1.4 is a good lump can be tuned. 1.6 is the better of the two tho

Dont need a new 1. Wot dya reckomend I go for size wise. I want a bit quicker than my 1.2 8v but not too high on my insurance
