mine was a 1.5 td but now has the 1.7 td izuzu engine in it and now it goes well and its good on juice . i reckon the standard 1.5 diesel engine will be quite bullet proof like

Try and get the 1.5TD with the Izuzu engine, you can't run them done, and get good MPG of you dont drive them hard! When you drive them in the turbo range they can be quite nippy!

well my td has done 146,000 miles and i havent had a single engine related problem. very reliable aslong as you stick to the oil change every 4500 miles.

it will do bout 50 mpg but it will be shit slow get a 1.5 td a lot faster

Girlfriend thinking of buying one 2moz. M reg 5 door 1.5 diesel. Just wondering what they like reliability wise? Performance? Any points to look out for when looking over it and test driving. cheers. its just the plain diesel not the turbo diesel.
