do you mean where the metal lip comes down to the point where the outer and inner wings are spot welded together?? On the outside of the wheel yes??

If so then when they fit wide archs all of this gets cut out and the panels are rewelded much higher up.

you think thats bad, go and find a t reg (just as an example) vw passat and measure the distance between the front and back wheels both sides, they are about an inch different.

Really dont wanna raise the car up............

The first twat i got to stick my springs on stuck one of them upside down, didnt realise this till i went for the mot. was driving around like that for about 2 weeks. Would this have wrecked the spring? maybe? possibly? any chance??

nah mate i heard all corsa were like this its something about the rear axle. i was down 60 and the rear drivers side rubbed like fuck and the other side didn't. Someone on here a week ago said all corsa's were like this when they left the production line and it was normal and axle related

you had a shunt at the front, so unless it was very very hard it wudnt do anythin to the rear.

Novas used to have the same problem. Was told that they were made with a 5mm tolerance on the axle so it could be upto 5mm over to the drivers side. Mine is the smae mate.

I wish. had it replaced not long ago. i was actually hoping that would cure it and was really dissappointed when it didnt.

ur rear axle cud be cracked or broken check it all round to make sure theres no cracks or anything

Mt rear drivers side wheel defiantely definately sticks out more than the other side. Its making it rub against the inner wall of the metal arch which i'v no chance of being able to grind unless i want a hole in the side of the car and in my boot!

Is there any reason atall this would be? its dropped 50mm on 17's ET45. all other wheels fit absolutely perfectly with no rubbing when two are in the back. Is it a spring problem? suspension problem? took it to see about tracking and they said it wouldnt be that. I had 15" alpines on her before and that side rubbed noticeably more even then so i know its not the wheels.


Any ideas lads? Its the last problem i have to sort in the car out of god knows how many she had when i got her.
