Mine does this too sometimes. But i have no other faults or probs so i just put it down to "one of those things", if i was having any other probs i'd be worried. have u changed ur air intake in any way? ir drilled airbox or induction kit?

an air leak into the inlet track, get some WD40 and spray it round all the gaskets on the inlet side of the engine, if the revs change when you do this ya got a leak, and you know exactly where as well

The first time i start my car in the morning it revs to around 2000rpm and within a few seconds drops down to around 1200 which is the normal fast idle.

I've replace the idle control solenoid and it just did the same after i reset the ecu....

I'm wondering if i still have the problem or if it's just done it this time because i've had the ecu powered dwn for 24 hours.

What else could cause it to go to 2000rpm?
