only reason it fades is cos the paint vauxhall used contained lead and was a complete load of bollox. if you spray with 2 pac it wont fade anything like the origanal paint has.

Only trouble with lacquering flame red is that when it fades you can't polish it back to a good colour because all you're doing is polishing the clear code, and no touching the red base coat.

Half my car looks pink under garage lights and street lights. The only bits that dont are the ones i had replced when a silly bitch slammed her clio into me:lol:

My flame red is spot on , after talking the guy at the bodyshop , i opted to go for full same colour respray incluing the kit .to get a good colour match . Also i got 2 coats of laquar put on , so its shiniey and hopfuley wont fade as quick

i found when i sprayed mine that it was really red, like brandnew colour, as the rest of the car has gone quite a dark red now.

as for laquer, it totally depends what type paint you are using, as for it fading, that also depends wat paint you are using. if you are using rattle cans from halfords then yes you need to laquer, if your using a 2 pac paint then you dont need too.
