The bore size of the 1.7dti is the same as the 1.2 16v isn't it? Also will this box be restrictive on my petrol if i didnt remove it.

thats just a post-cat centre section me thinks. the cats are on the manifold-that is purely for sound deadening if i remeber correctly.

Its in between the hangers on the centre section and the front. Its after the down pipe bit where the CAT is on the 1.2 16v

diesels dont tend to have centre sections as they create to much back pressure

I had my centre silence removed - It's not overly loud IMO, but there are times when it drones a touch on long motorway trips TBH

Ok i just looked under a 1.7 Dti. It is striaght thru. But nearer the front there is a little box. Now if this box is just a small silencer it doesnt matter. But if its the CAT it'll cost loads cos its part of the whole centre section. I am going to find out for definate tomorrow.

I didn't know the 1.7 Dti had no centre box, i am going to look into this. I have a 1.7Dti on my drive at the mo too

go custom. powerflow/ascar etc. can do anything you want with exhausts. ranging from 80-150 ish for centre section with box. or staight through about 50-90 ish (rough prices)

is there any companies that sell just the middle section? i already have a back box which i like but just wondering if you can buy a middle section. i know the 1.7DTi SXi doesnt have a middle section but would this section fit on a 1.4 SRi? |
