you dont need to re prime the parts if they are in good enough condition, just key the parts up with wet and dry or scotch pads then spray the colour directly over the old stuff.

If they are laquered, then sand the laquer off until its dull, then apply primer and paint then re-laquer. Job done - why pay a bodyshop to do it :P

Over the past few months I've been colour coding various bits of trim from inside my Corsa. However the most recent parts I've done are so much better then my earlier attempts, so I wanna re-do the old stuff.

Do I need to remove the old spray paint entirely before new primer, or can I get away with removing the lacquer and keying it with wet & dry paper and applying new primer on top of that?

The early attemps haven't chipped, it's just their colour isn't as consistent.
