yeh sounds like either bad earth or if ur runnin the amp from high voltage pre-out (eg 4.5V or summin) then you must check that the gain on the amp isnt turned up too high cos this will cause the amp protection circuit to cut in and switch the amp off when u crank ur choons up :thumbs:

possibly a bad earth, check that you've got a good earthing point

yea it worked fine for ages, then i took it out to change the install. it does it from cold. its a kicker 402 by the way

how you got it wired up? you sure the amp was running before you turn the volume up? the amp isn't too hot is it? well ventillated?

when i turn the volume up on the head unit the amp cuts off, y could this be. iv checked all the wiring it seems ok, could it be a problem with the remote wire?
