oil lights come on when you first start cars because there is no pressure. it shoudl go out when pressure is achived

when i starnt my car in the mornings this little red oil light flashes on 4 a couple of secondes and then goes off :boggle:? it also stalled twice on me recently whilst stopping, eg junctions!, the oil light came on just b4 it stalled, and no im not low on oil!:)
