code: I was told about this when i asked the guy about the system i am having done, apparently it is easy to overcome, by fitting a spring of some sort in the door, not sure how exactly. You can get into all kinds of problems though, for example if you leave your keyfob in the car and shut the door - only way in would be to break a window....

If you want to buy and fit them yourself, i think you can get them from www.customconcepts.com or corsasrus. They are about £30 each..not sure about how to fit them though.

I have just been speaking to a bloke i know who fits alarms about this as i am having mine dehandled soon. It isn't illegal as long as the MOT tester has an external means of getting into the vehicle, ie a button on the keyfob or a button under the wingmirror, like TVRs have. I'm having both doors opened from keyfob, boot and bonet release on dash, and he says that it will pass MOT no probs.

I want to get my door handles removed as above. I dont know the best way to be able to get in my car once handles removed. I have had a quote for £100 for my boot to be wired to my clifford, but this seems quite excessive for such a small thing. I REALLY want my doors done but if its al wored to the keyfob then isnt it illegal for the mot?
