ad go for the 2.0 litre m8i,the tunign ya do on the 1400 will make it unreliable after everyday driving ,if you have teh 2.0 uve got the power as standard, and at a cheaper cost then gas flowed head etc, which ever you go for happy tuning or happy transplanting:)

I'd put an xe in, but wouldn't pay £1500 for it.

id keep pthe x14xe, easier to insure sell on etc, cheaper tax, no changing v5 documents etc. You will also no the history etc of the engine, tuned it a bit and if still not enough sell it and buy a bigger more powerfull car

if you want to learn all about tuning, go on and tune the 14xe..

i'd just put a 2L in, torque is what gets you places and you wil never get the sort of torque you get from a 2L out of a 1.4, or a 1.6 really!

ok ill see what they say, jus fed up with the lack of top end speed on me 1.4 but dont wanna sell it, as Corsa's got the best looks out of any hot hatch around IMO -- want corsa styling but Calibra power:lol::thumbs:

rather than tune the 1.4 id get the 2.0ltr, or buy a 1.6 and tune that if you want to tune an engine. your best off asking lee mitchel or some1 to convert it for u, northants motorsport will do it for you tho if you wnat to stay in nortmampton, they are very good but not cheap

personally, id save up for the 2.0 as its not really worth spending ££££ on a 1.4
