you MUST have a leak!

I'd fill it up, and get it to vaux.

cars when they are new use more oil than when they are run in. most cars can use up to 1L every 1000km

how many miles have you done on your car? i was assuming it was around 10K, if its used all the oil up in 10K then you've got a problem.

my old corsa had 91K on it and didn't use a smiggin of oil eva.

is yours constantly puffing out blue smoke or sumin?

matt. on the dipstick there was no oil. hence it was low. so all i have done is ill it back up untill i can afford a service, then once i can afford one i take it in..

hey presto!

yes it will efffect performance. oil is like an engines blood and shouldn't be skimped upon.

you need to do a full oil change if you expect any type of reliabilty from your engine as it gets older.

all you gotta do is jack it up, undo the sump nut, let the old oil drain out into a bucket, do sump nut back up ( should really replace) fill up with 3.5l of oil check levels, hey presto done.... oh and do the oil fiilter b4 you fill back up with new oil.

Topping your oil up is pointless, will cause more damage, since your cars new i doubt it will of used n e oil, so filling it up creates more pressure on the seals in teh engine, causing oil leaks...

get it done properly before you feck it up :)

DIY is the best way to save money:)
Vaux does nothing in the first service apart from changing oil and filter

But what about the warranty lad?:boggle:

Local tip ussually has a place for it or leave it outside vaux garage when they're closed.
