wot idea was that then? plan is to make it into a wide arched van. Or might just strip it and sell the bits

i could always just buy an engine at the scrappys and not bother rebuilding it. what mods could i do without strippin it. exhaust induction kit etc.

fiestaturbo.com is a good fiesta website the zetec is a bit too complicated for your first engine rebuild as beardy says do somthing cheap before potentially wastin shit loads of money

your best get it Buy a cheap car for about £50 which runs
take the engine out and strip it total down to nothing and put it back together and get it running again.

i would go jumping in the deep end

Kris TD

just one thing, it is vital that you do things back up to the correct torque. dont cut any corners, and think that will do cos it wont.

haynes manual is good but there always little things they miss like
they say undo this nut here somtimes it realy means this nut is a complete and utter bastid to get off and you are gonna hurt yourself

you'd have to understand the components, structure and purpose of the engine throughout.
would be good to learn on and see the mechanical side of modifying

a_j_mair

could you not just take it to bits following a haynes manual or something?

well i think the answer is in the question there mate,

i.e you said you dont know anything about them, so pretty damn hard :)

be fun to tinker and you would learn a lot.
