there is a tutorial on this, pretty easy, take the 2 top vents out by pushing a scewdriver against the vent and pull them out, u will see 4 torx screws, undo them, pull the vent casing out, then another 2 screws holding the mfd, undo them and the MFD pops out

thanks! I'll try contact that member.

One last thing, then I'll quit hassling you all lol!! When getting at the display unit do I remove the temp/fan knobs? I guess to get these off they just need a good tug? I know where the screws are on the display unit- just unsure on how to get at them.

Cheers everyone!!!!!

The ones from maplin are nowhere near powerful enough in terms of MCD

It's pretty simple actually... (Quote me if I'm wrong) All you need to do is order some 12v LED's off maplin, theyre about 70p each. Then you pop out the original bulbs, you'll notice they're in little plastic holders. the actual bulb will pull out of that holder. All you need to do is slot in the LEDs and solder them into position, making sure the + and - are correct.

si_reading - do you know where you can get them from? Anywhere online?

I got my Alpine head unit in now and I want blue lights in there to match them, do they shine as bright as the head unit blues?

Thanks for the quick help ppl, appreciate it

I've had blue ones in mine for while, which look good. Just put red ones in now for a change.

They're LED's that have been modded to fit in the bulb holders... IMO they don't shine as bright as the normal bulbs, so they won't light the display up as well. u2u cobra148 about LED's. He knows everything!

Hi all!

I see a lot of you have tried putting blue bulbs in the display panel on the Corsa C (the bit that shows the date time etc.)

On a lot of the pictures the unit doesn't completely light up blue. Is this cause of the angle of the photographs or because of something else. I read that the blue bulbs blow easily or something?

Has anybody actually got blue bulbs up, running and working?

Thanks for the help,
Andy
