What engine have you got?
Once you've found it and removed it, clean it with carb cleaner and add a quick squirt of WD-40.
Reset the length as per instructions in the Haynes manual and re-fit.
If it's still cutting out on idle then you'll need a new valve.

take it off spray it with degreaser refit it job done

is there any posts on how to clean the idler control valve. The engine revs fluctuate so the valve needs cleaning. herd its an easy job. help apriciated
