Look around the outer edge or around the mounting face of the disc. Its should be stamped with the minimum allowable thickness for the disc. If the disc is heavily rutted make sure u dont include the lip in ur measurement

I'll have a look for the lip. It doesnt sound familiar so i'm guessing they'll be fine.

as long as there isnt a massive lip round the edge then they should be ok

I've just uprated my brakes to 2litre brakes and the brakes i just took off are Red Dot with the 6 grooves. They've been on for 13 months and have covered about 12,000 miles. Are they sellable or are the past it? I was gonna whack em on ebay. They look fine to me.
