i was asked by CIS for one when considering the a transplant on my corsa

They said the insurance would be void after the conversion, unless they had an engineers report before i took it on the road.

My brothers insurance firm didnt careless when he dropped a nova into his Valver

i have never been asked for one and all the ones i have fitted have never been asked, all the people i also know with valvers have never been asked

yeah like said some insurers ask for one some don't.all they do anyway is check to see if it's fitted correctly and you have upgraded all the stuff that goes with it

yeah but if i was driving a car that had had an engine swop to a bigger one id want it checked over tbh! maybe its just me being paranoid!

to get insured on a conversion, e.g 2.0 ltr turbo etc, wud i need an engineers report? wat does this include? wat sort of engineer? can i get any garage to fill in the report or is it jus specific engineers?
