Haynes always recomend u use new bolts or any fixings whenever you replace things- Its what the manufacturers i.e Vauxhall, tell 'em. Not neccesary in my experiance, although u may as well light oil em to help them last whilst they're out...

I had -40mm Apex springs, they didnt lower any where near 40mm at the rear, they are famous for doing this, if ya buy shox too ya get new nuts, i would just reuse them just nip them up a bit more and use locktight

just reading the haynes manual there about removing the old springs

it keep s saying "discard these bolts and get new ones"

Is this absoulutly nessasary:lol:

richt the other thing is the springs were supposed to be cobra springs -40 drop. i just wanted anything to drop the car till i can afford a whole kit.

turns out they had none left at the supplyers so i have Apex ones

are these good bad?
