Mate, you've been well an truely SHAFTED!!!...
Put it this way, I paid £235 for a Clifford Avantgaurd 5 supply only, delivered to my door.
I know it'd cost more to have it fitted etc (i've fitted it myself though), but that gives you a rough idea of how much they're making on you...
The AV5 has remote start etc.. I suggest also that you take it somewhere to be fitted, i.e. in a garage somewhere, not just at the side of the road or on a driveway etc..
I used to work at a place that did this & the quality of my work was NOWHERE near as good as when I worked inside a garage etc..
Seriously shop around... don't just jump for the bigest name.
Saying that though, SQ plus are quite reasonably priced, & i would trust them A LOT more that GAP, they are true professionals!

intellistart should only be used on private property! leaving a vehicle running on the public highway unattended is an offence! £1250 u are gettin bumped mate! also the intellistart invalidates the cat 1..

gap have told me it will be £1250 to put the 500 in put c/locking in and fit remote start i payed £400 up front and have the rest on credit
i was told by a work mate that the remote start could be illgal cant see this being true but does any1 know?

baz you will find that a lot of places will only fit it if they sell it...

Will be gettin a clifford conecpt 500 with remote start and central locking added (as i dont have it) so i can do remote locking via alarm
I will get a pro to fit how much do you rekon it will cost

and yes i know it ain gonna be cheap
