actyually the only difference between the c16xe and x16xe is the manifold and compression. c16xe plastic manifold x16xe metal. difference between x16xe and the x14xe is the piston displacement. i work for vaux and on parts catalog only difference is that. same engine different displacement. difference in performance not enough to justify swop. | |

The wiring is easy then, the new loom should just plug to the cars loom via a 3x3 formation 9 pin plug by the ecu. | |

It will make as much of a difference as fitting something like a mantzel powerbox, but will leave much more scope for future mods. 20% more power cant be knocked.... | |

yeah i believe that if its a x16xe u can use the same loom, but not if its a c16xe! | |

The gearboxes are probably the same, although if you get one with your engine its easier to fit the new one... | |

is it a hard job of removing the engine, gearbox, ecu, loom and transponder chip to put them in a 1.4 16v. how long would it take? |
