I'd go for Adam-D's - £50 delivered - thats a good price. Will be just the same as what you get from a spares place, prob cheaper too.

Btw, I dont know Adam, so I'm not tryin to do anyone favours here.

Then i went on www.247spares.co.uk and taped in what i needed and my details. And within 10 mins i got TXT messages with numbers for companies and prices for the part.

I called one up and got a tensioner for £35. Bargain

yeah, just takes a bit of time...

1. take off the plastic trim panels from the sill,
2. slide the seat as far forward as poss,
3. undo the retaining bolt on the floor nearest the door, then undo the security nut next to the centre console.
4. the seat should now come free, unhook it and remove it.
5. you can renew the tensioners in your garage/whatever, thats another security bolt and a few cable clips to get round...

Refitting is the reverse of removal, and then repeat for the other side. Its pretty easy to work out, just use plenty of wd40 on the bolts, as they go right thru the floorpan and get shitted up on the other side... think thats everything, let me kno with any questions.

if they've blown then your seatbelt wont click in, so i cant see that being legal?

Actually, yes they do. I drove around for quite some time(and passed an MOT with it) til i could afford new ones, you can still clip in, but theres a big yellow tag that sticks up from the fixing point... :P

This is correct

I have subframes out of my SRi for sale with tensioners, selling as a pair prob, u2u me if your interested :D

Vaux charge anything around the 150 quid per side mark. Better lookin at a scrappy, or on here, anything 50 quid or less is a good deal. Apparently there's two lengths as well, so make sure you get the right ones.

It's still legal to drive with them blown, and you'll pass MOT, but I reckoned it was better to replace mine anyway. If you need any help regarding replacing them, feel free to u2u me, as did mine a coupla weeks ago...
