sounds strange might be the cambelt rollers squeelin.if thats ceased get it changed asap will cause the cambelt to snap.whip the cover off and check to see if it turns when running

when u have taken the cover off, check inside for and black fibres. mine was full. the belt had slid forward and was catching on the cover. they go quite thin too. mine was all chewed up on the edge.

few months back i could hear a tapping noise from mine. took the cover off and the belt had shreaded! shite belt. only lasted 6000 miles.

it cost me 155 with new pulleys fitted. genuine parts 2.

u got power steering?
either that belt or your fan belt, but if your that worried get em all changed:|

cam belts is the same as timing belt but u wont get it squeeling as its a toothed belt.

thast what i thought but wen it was in the garage havin the exhaust done i asked them to check the fan belt for it squeelin and they said it was the trimin belt which is the same as the cam belt yere??

Never heard a cam belt do that. Sounds like a loose fan belt

first thing in the mornin it squeels a bit like a fan belt slippin. i took it to a garage an they said it was the cam belt. anyone had this problem?? does it need changin?? dont want it to snap
