mine read the same, was following 2 other people at same speed, they said there speedo's were reading between 117-120mph, (1.6 hyundai accent & 2ltr primera)

was going down hill mind & also had wind behind me

also blew the head gasget half way down & fooked the head :lol:

Its a good strong engine.....and a REAL 110 is easily possible with these engines.

Its a rapid little motor in the nova anyhow, and i'm sure the corsas top end wont be far off.

mine has showed 125 mph on the clocks
feel free to say what you want i saw it and my bro saw it
i know its wrong prob more like 105 but ill never know so ah well
wait till i fit new engine :)

Your wallet must be out too as you only needed one cam.


You only need one cam shaft, if you only had one cam then only one follower would turn etc and you wouldnt move.

108mph for the 8v sri :P

112 for the 16v

manufacturers quoted top speed is 112 mph standard. I had 195/45/15 lowered 60 which looked pretty good :thumbs:

Just been looking at a post down the screen and just wondered what top speed of a 1.4 8v is, running 195/65 R15s and a drilled airbox with panel filter. Am i right in thinking its a MPI aswell, because its a Corsa B SRi? Im getting 195/45s soon, and dropping it 50mm, so will that make any difference to anything other than looks? Plus does 50mm look ok on 15s?
